The permanent exhibition (called the National Gallery) comprises of paintings and sculptures which illustrate 19th -20th centuries modern Romanian Art and 18th -19th centuries Transylvanian Art. Besides artworks created by renowned Romanian artists, the exhibition also features artworks created by local artists whose activity is connected to Brașov, beginning with 18th century Saxon patricians’ portraits and ending with post-war avant-garde artworks. The institution’s ground floor hosts temporary exhibitions and a wide range of cultural events such as recitals, conferences, book launches, round tables, etc.
Winter program: 1 October - 1 April: Tuesday to Sunday, 09.00-17.00 (except for official holidays)
Summer program: April 1 - October 1: Tuesday to Sunday, 10.00-18.00 (except for official holidays)
