ELITE GROUP TRAINING CAMP OF THE NATIONAL JUNIOR TEAM IN CHESS

Between June 9-17, 2023, the 10-year-old junior Vladimir Sofronie, together with his mother Sofronie Caudia Ramona who is also his coach, will participate in the chess training course at Eforie Nord, together with the best juniors in Romania.
The coordinating coach of the training course will be the Indian Grand Master R.B. Ramesh - considered the best junior coach in the world at the moment.

The training program will be a rigorous one, with 7 hours of daily chess, sports training and psychological training. At the end of each workout there will be lightning-fast competitions to test knowledge. The objectives that Vladimir has proposed in this training camp are to improve the strategic game, the final techniques and the calculation technique in the middle game in order to obtain a leading place at the European Individual Junior Championship in classic chess that will take place in September in Mamaia (Romania).

This cantonment represents the 3rd stage of a program of 6 training stages organized by the Romanian Chess Federation, and Claudia Sophrony's participation is supported by the Brasov County Council.
